| Drilling muds
A drilling
mud is a fluid inserted into the borehole as a temporary support during
the drilling process. The support of boreholes can be provided by:
water
bentonite
suspension
polymer
solution
During
drilling, the level of drilling mud shall always be maintained above
the natural water table in the ground and thereby providing constant
support of the borehole.
