This interdisciplinary symposium and workshop will focus on applications of time domain reflectometry (TDR) in agriculture, agronomy, geotechnical engineering, materials engineering, soil physics, and soil science. Both theoretical and experimental developments are of interest. TDR is becoming an increasingly powerful technology for determining the presence of water and contaminants in soils, soil density, monitoring reactions in chemically modified soils, and in identifying soil types.
This two and one-half day event is planned for September 17-20, 2006 and will be held on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana USA. The event follows in the tradition of the two previous TDR symposia held in 1994 and 2001 at Northwestern University. |
