Hi all.Im student of civil engineering who is wondering differences between retainning wall and diaphragm wall. As my limited knowledge, the retainning wall and diaphragm wall are actually have the same general purpose of retain the slope of earth and the only difference i know is the construction method is different. But i think there must be somthing essential difference between these 2 wall due to the great of technology. So please give me some guidance on that. Do any internationally well known building consists of diaphragm wall as a part of its structures?
