Subject: resistivity imaging - rock mass fractured zones

Author: Patrice BOIS 2003-06-26

I would like eximine (find eventual fractured zones, for foundation purpose)a rock mass (mudstone interbedded with siltstones and sandstones)under superficial layers (mainly calcareous sand, 5m thick, with hardpan layer and dry surface gravel)
A seismic refraction survey already done was not succefull for this problem.
Could an electrical resistivity imaging method be efficient? How to etablish electrical connection with soil? Is "Ohm-mapper" an alternative? Is electromagnetic EM34 an alternative?
Thank you
