I am under Ph.d course now. Personally I have great interest in the behaviors of laterally loaded pile.

I have been trying to understand the soil response curves.
COM624P and LPILE computer programs were useful for me.
Nevertherless,I'm not free for conceptual understanding yet. Especially, the way of establishing p-y curve in multi-layered ground system is always doubt..how to apply soil strengthes and estimate the ultimate soil resistances.
The procedure, of course, can be found in the book such as COM624P manual. However, calculations by hand say quite differ from those program calculations. In a certain case, LPILE and COM624P showed me different results.

Where I can get it exact solution ?
If anyone tell me I really appreciate.
