I am interested in additional resources that discuss the geotechnical characteristics of municipal solid waste and construction/demolition debris. I am interested from the standpoint of post-closure development on landfills.
Insight into field investigation methods to assess geotechnical properties is appreciated as well. thanx

You may be able to start from a paper by Arvid O.Landva and Jack I. Clark, titled "Geotechnics of waste Fill" Geotechnics and Waste Fill - Theory and Practice, ASTM STP 1070, 1990 there are references for furher search. If I am not mistaken, Prof. Landva had interests in studies related to waste fills. For stability analyses, there is also a paper by J.D. Howland and A.O. Landva, titled "Stability Analysis of a Municipal Solid Waste Landfill", From Stability and performance of Slopes and Embankments II, Geotech. Special Publication No. 31 ASCE Vol 2, Berkeley, Calif. , June/July 1992.
