Pile spacing is generally 2.5 to 3 times the pile diameter. I cannot understand the pile spacing for accommodate the settlement?
In addition to the above, it is not an engineer's choice to reduce the above spacing, c 1.5m, block failure may occur at pile end, sometimes, even if it is 2-2.5 times the pile dia.
