HALLO
I was asked to design ring foundation for a tank.my question is how i can load the ring with lateral soil pressure coming vertical from the tank full of liquid.I would appreciate if you could give some formulas or some references

Your problem statement is not sufficient to give you a useful answer. At least you need to indicate foundation conditions and loading on tank (static, cyclic etc.).
The design of tank foundations is rather complex and needs experience.
