Dear Friends,
If my rock mass is very weak in respect of shear strength so that conventional supports (Bolts and liners) can’t resist deformations, are there any alternatives to increase shear strength parameters (Particularly phi value) prior installation of support so that Rock-Support interaction after installation of support becomes effective,
If anyone have any idea please feel free to share with me,
Thanking you,
Debasis Barman India

Hi, your rock is very fractured, probably Class IV or even V, in this case, you should not/or use less explosives during excavation so as to minimize possible disturbance on surrounding rocks.
