gud day.im planning to pursue a postgraduate study in geotechnical engineering ans as of now, im researching onn the possible research study/thesis that im going to undertake.im from general santos city, philippines.since this endeavor of pursuing my masters degree is for me to help my home country, im planning to take up a study regarding geotechnical engineering in ports and harbors.please help me conceptualize a specific study plan regarding this.what specific topics or concepts can i tackle about geotechnical engineering in ports and harbors?

If you have an Harbour and Ports authority in you country, they must of neccessity have a civil engineering dept. A good starting point is to interact with them to get to know some of their peculiar problems either in operating the harbours or during constuction.you cuold then decide to take up one of the problems up for research.
