Dear sirs.
I'm a geotechnical eng. working on neural networks applications in to geo. eng.. I've designed a software able to predict some soil properties knowing some others. It works successfully but much more data records are needed to predict the propeties of a wider range of soils.I'll be very thankfull if you send me some data or introduce a proper database. A very good database may consist of records containing, porosity (e),water content(w), plastic and liquid limits(LL , PL), strenght parameters(fi ,c) for UU,CU,CD conditions, coefficient of permeability (k),percent finer than #200 seive,% saturation, specific gravity of grains (Gs). All databases are welcomed even if it does not contain the all parameters.
Also, such databases but related to rock parameters are welcome.
I'll be happy to send you any other info about this.
I'm ready to send you the final completed software as soon as completing.
Await your reply
Sincerely yours F.Dadfar

three reports are:
Manual on estimating soil properties for foundation design, 1990, EPRI (electric power research Institute) manual EL-6800, dated august 1990. about 25pp
Duncan, J.M. et al, 1989, Shear strength correlations for geotechnical engineering, Virginia Tech, Dept of Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, 98pp
Mitchell, J. 1980, soil property correlations, Woodward-Clyde, 53pp (even though done for a company, it has found its way in to several libraries).
